Description
The Delphi Half Marathon is a breathtaking point-to-point race starting at Glenkeen Farm in Louisburgh, Co. Mayo, and finishing in the village of Leenane, Co. Galway. The route passes through the dramatic Doolough Valley before running alongside Killary Fjord — Ireland's only true fjord — with mountains rising steeply on one side and the Atlantic waters of the fjord on the other. The course is predominantly downhill with a few gentle rises, making it fast and accessible for all levels. Runners pass lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and wild mountain scenery throughout. A bus shuttle operates from Leenane to the race start on the morning of the event. Race headquarters is in Leenane village. The course is officially measured and chip-timed.
