The Strabane Lifford Half Marathon starts outside the Alley Theatre in Strabane town centre and finishes on the track at the Melvin Sports Complex. The point-to-point route crosses the border into the Republic of Ireland via Lifford in County Donegal before looping through Clady, across the Strabane bridges and through the Ballycolman area back to the finish. The course is spectator-friendly and features multiple sections where crowds can see runners pass at various points. Organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council, this is one of only two athletics events that operates on both sides of the Irish border, welcoming solo runners, wheelchair participants and three-person relay teams.
