The Great Rossa Run 5k 2026

The Great Rossa Run 5k is the shorter of three timed distances at an annual community running festival in Ardboe, County Tyrone, situated on the western shores of Lough Neagh. The 5k course starts from a point in the centre of Ardboe and follows the rural roads of the loughshore area, with all three distances finishing together at Ardboe Hall on Mullinahoe Road. The course takes in the quiet country roads surrounding the village. Terrain is undulating with some gently rolling sections typical of this part of County Tyrone. All routes are professionally measured and carry Athletics NI certified course status. A family walk and fun run operates in parallel. The event has grown from a local fixture to a major community occasion attracting well over 750 participants, organised in association with Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC.
