Glenbeigh Glencar 5k 2026

The Glenbeigh Glencar 5k is the shortest of four distances at an annual multi-race event in Glenbeigh, County Kerry, organised by Glenbeigh Glencar GAA Club and Star of the Laune AC as part of the Glenbeigh Summer Festival. All distances finish at Glenbeigh Glencar GAA pitch, which serves as the race hub. The 5k route runs on the roads in the immediate vicinity of Glenbeigh village, passing through the scenic countryside of this part of south Kerry near Caragh Lake. The terrain is hilly and challenging, reflecting the rolling landscape of the area. The 5k is open to walkers as well as runners, making it a fully inclusive event suitable for all abilities. It forms part of a fundraising initiative supporting Glenbeigh Glencar GAA Club and Star of the Laune AC in developing their facilities for members and the wider community.
