Great Glinsk Run 5k 2026

The Great Glinsk Run 5k takes place in the village of Glinsk, Co. Galway, based from Glinsk Community Centre. The course is a mainly flat, two-lap route on road and path surfaces, making it accessible to runners of all abilities. With minimal elevation gain across the distance, the course suits those chasing a personal best as well as those looking for a casual run or walk on race day. The event is part of a multi-distance programme that also includes a 10k and a 1k fun run. Organised as a charity fundraiser for Caisleán Oir Creche in partnership with Glinsk GAA, Glinsk LGFA, and Glinsk Community Development, the event celebrates community spirit against the backdrop of traditional stone walls and green Galway countryside.
