About this race
The Joe Duffy Group Clontarf Half Marathon is held twice annually, with the November edition offering a scenic out-and-back coastal route starting and finishing at EastPoint Business Park in Clontarf, Dublin. The course follows the Clontarf Promenade before crossing onto Bull Island and returning the same way. The terrain consists of smooth tarmac and well-maintained promenade paths, making it one of the flattest half marathon courses in Ireland. The course profile is exceptionally flat throughout, with no significant elevation changes, making it well suited to runners targeting a personal best. Chip timed and well marshalled, the race attracts a strong and diverse field and is a perennial sell-out. Organised by Bear Races and sponsored by the Joe Duffy Group, the event enjoys a big-race atmosphere along Dublin's north coastline.
