The Run the Ridge Derrybawn Woods Trail 10k starts and finishes at the Laragh GAA grounds, beside Laragh village in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. Unlike the longer races in the series, this is a trail-only route that stays within Derrybawn Wood, running entirely on fire-road and scenic forest trails without venturing onto open mountain. It shares the opening two kilometres and closing three kilometres with the 20k course, finishing with a fast descent back to the GAA grounds and an 800m lap of honour. The terrain is firm woodland trail and forest road, making it a challenging but beginner-friendly introduction to off-road racing. Set within Wicklow Mountains National Park near Glendalough, the event is a strictly not-for-profit fundraiser organised by Laragh GAA and Glendalough AC, with a welcoming atmosphere and prize-giving held at the finish.
