The Royal Canal Kilcock parkrun begins and ends on the scenic canal towpath, approximately 200 metres west of Shaw Bridge and the 16th Lock. This linear out-and-back course guides participants westward along the historic Royal Canal Greenway, offering tranquil waterside views. The terrain is run on a mixture of smooth tarmac and well-maintained compacted grit, celebrated for being exceptionally flat and fast. Runners enjoy a reliable and consistent surface ideal for achieving a personal best while soaking in the heritage of the canal and nearby St. Coca’s Church. This professionally organized event captures a vibrant community spirit in a beautiful Kildare setting.
