Description
The Gortin 5 Mile is a chip-timed road race starting at the entrance to St Patrick's Primary School on Main Street, Gortin, and finishing at the entrance to the Owenkillew Community Centre. The course follows the flat roads of the Owenkillew valley, surrounded by the scenic hills and valleys of the Sperrin Mountains. The route is described as fast and flat, ideal for personal bests, and runs along quiet roads through the picturesque village and its surrounds. Organised by Gortin GAA Club and Omagh Harriers, the race caters for all abilities and is run in a community-focused atmosphere.
