The Glengarriff parkrun begins and ends at the picnic table amenity area within the spectacular Glengarriff Nature Reserve, nestled at the foot of the Caha Mountains. This meandering single-lap course leads participants north along The Avenue before crossing Shinnán Bridge, where runners enjoy stunning views of the Glengarriff River. The route follows the scenic River Walk and Big Meadow loops, guiding participants through a lush canopy of ancient oak and holly trees. Runners navigate a varied mixture of tarmac, gravel, and woodland trails that wind through the sheltered glen. While the terrain is characterized by undulating hills, it offers a rewarding and immersive nature experience for all abilities. This professionally organized event is celebrated for its breathtaking scenery and the warm, welcoming spirit of the West Cork community.
