Description
The Clonbur Woods parkrun begins and ends at the main entrance to the woods, conveniently located just outside the village of Clonbur near Pat Burke’s garage. This scenic out-and-back course leads participants through a peaceful managed woodland trail that offers breathtaking views of Lough Mask and the Clonbur River. Runners traverse a historic landscape once part of the Ashford Estate, passing the hidden remains of the 13th-century Ballykine Castle. The terrain is primarily flat and fast, consisting of well-maintained gravel paths, though it features a few short, challenging climbs that test your pace.
