Description
The Ballina parkrun starts and finishes near the Ballina Soccer Club at the scenic entrance to Belleek Woods. This out-and-back course leads runners along the "Heritage Trail," passing the lively duck pond and offering constant, beautiful views of the River Moy. A notable highlight along the route is the ruins of the SS Creteboom, a historic concrete ship from World War I. The terrain features a comfortable mix of bitmac and well-trodden forest trail paths that wind through one of Europe's largest urban woodlands. Participants also enjoy sections of the monasteries of the Moy greenway, making for a refreshing and picturesque 5k experience.
